Why Bio-technology?

Our research and development facility allows us to do in weeks, what would take months or even years to do in the field.
We produce disease free seeds and seedlings.
We produce higher yield seeds and seedlings.
We produce more resistant seeds and seedlings.
We can quickly scale production of seeds and seedlings according to demand.
We have the Technology, the Expertise and most importantly, the Experience to meet your demand for disease free, high yield seeds and seedling.

About Biocrops Nigeria Limited

High Quality agricultural output is 50% dependent on the quality of seeds and seedlings input. Our Company exists for one purpose: To put TECHNOLOGY at the centre of Seed and Seedling production IN Nigeria, By Nigerians, FOR Nigeria. We DO NOT use Genetic Modification Technology. Instead we use technologies that fast-track nature’s own self multiplication system. Tissue Culture Technologies (TC) and Temporary Immersion Bio-reactors (TIB) systems are viable and commercially proven seed and seedling multiplication technologies. We have used these technologies to become the FIRST and ONLY, private sector, COMMERCIAL VOLUME, Made in Nigeria, producer of sugarcane plantlets (seed cane) to the Nigerian Sugar Cane industry. We use the same technologies that helped make Brazil the largest sugar producer in the world, responsible for 50% of the world’s entire sugar output. These technologies helped Ethiopia move from 30,000Ha to 80,000Ha of land under sugar cultivation in 4 years (2011 – 2015).

Bio-factory set up – Quality Assurance Guaranteed

Our position as Nigeria’s leading commercial Agro Bio-technology company, means we are able to replicate our best-practices without any loss of standard or reduction in quality assurance.

We have installed Temporary Immersion Bio-reactors (TIB) in:

The National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology (NACGRAB).
The National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA).

Following on from our successful delivery of commercial quantities of sugar seedlings to  Sunti Sugar Plantation (a division of Flour Mills Nigeria), we are in the final discussions about setting up an on-site bio-factory for the sugar plantation.
